Guidelines for Submitting Manuscript for Mong Journal
ENGLISH Version
The purpose of the Mong Journal is to promote research in the areas of Mong language, culture, education, health, human services, and social, economic and political status of the Mong people. Another purpose of the Mong Journal is to clarify the misunderstanding, debunk the misconception, and educate the general public about the Mong and the consequences they face as a result of the misinformation, mis-education, and misrepresentation of the Mong. The Mong Journal is a professional research journal electronically published semi-annually in June and December, sometimes bilingually in both English and Mong, and is sponsored by the Mong Federation, Inc.
The Mong Journal seeks to publish research papers on Mong from scholars and practitioners in all disciplines. The Mong Journal prefers manuscripts of 4,000 to 10,000 words in English and/or in Mong oriented toward a readership of general public, service providers, scholars, practitioners, and individuals, but written to be accessible to non-specialists. The Mong Journal follows the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed., 2001) style guideline for publication. All pages should be double space, including references. The author’s name should not be included on any pages other than the title page. The manuscript will be sent out for peer review. The manuscript should not be the one that has been published previously and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. The contributor needs to send four hard copies of his/her manuscript to the editor. Manuscripts need to be submitted to the editor by April 30 for the June Issue and October 31 for the December Issue. After the manuscript has been accepted for publication, an electronic copy of the article and/or a floppy disk containing the article needs to be sent to the editor.
Where to send your manuscript:
Articles should be sent to the Editor of the Mong Journal: Yer J. Thao, Ph.D., Editor, Mong Journal, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Graduate School of Education, Portland State University, P.O. Box 751, Portland, OR 97207-0751.
